Happy Halloween!!!!

Sweet Girl's new trick!

As you can see from the first picture, Sweet Girl has learned how to wave goodbye! Nana and family teach her so much!

Seeing those pictures today, my heart is filled with longing. My heart aches to hold her. Though I know she will be home, very soon, I wonder how I'll survive until then. Thank you Lord that the end is in sight. Thank you that very soon my precious daughter will be home, for me to hold and kiss and teach about you! Thank you for trusting John and I to raise this little miracle gift from you. Keep her safe.
Fill our hearts with peace as we wait and fill the hearts of her foster family with peace in these days as they prepare for her to leave.

DNA at Labcorp!

IF's DNA sample has arrived at the lab! Now it will be processed and overnighted to Guatemala. The time it takes to process a sample varies but we are praying for a speedy quickturn around and for sweet girl to be home in a flash!

Please continue to pray for her foster family as her time with them winds to a close.

Pray for IF's Guatemala family

Please join me in praying for Nana Janeth, Papa Fredy, Luis, Yenifer, Abby, Aunt Cony, Aunt Paty and all IF's Guatemala family. My heart is so very heavy for them. I can't stop thinking about them and crying for them. Oh how we love them and thank them for all they do.

If you would like to send Nana Janeth and her family a message of gratitude, please send it to me at mommy2if@gmail.com and I will pass it along.

Please pray for this dear family as their time with IF winds to a close.

2nd DNA

Isabella Faye's 2nd DNA test was taken today. The DNA will be sent to North Carolina to a place called Labcorp to be tested. Then the results will be sent to the US Embassy in Guatemala. Soon after receipt of the results, they will issue our embassy appointment. My Grandma and I will be traveling down the day prior to our appointment. The day following the appointment we will receive IF's Visa and the next day we'll come home. Daddy and daughter will finally be united and our life as a family of three (six counting the cats!)will begin!

Here's a picture from DNA day, where Nana said IF was playing with and kissing and hugging the other children. Oh what a precious girl she is!

The good news and the bad news...

Aunt K. the cousins and I came to visit Aunt Betsy and her precious kiddos and Uncle Scotty Boy! Last night we met up and the coolest pizzeria I've ever seen! We got to watch them make the pizzas! The kids loved it and well, so did we!

Alex was hilarious as usually! I got to give him lots of love and hugs and kisses...as long as his Mommy was in sight! He loves his Mommy! Will was his charismatic self, talking so big and mature. He is just a shear delight to be around! And Annie, I offered to take her off their hands! She has a presence, a way about her that makes you certain God has big plans for her life! I wonder...

Sadly, Annie got sick with pneumonia that night so we didn't get to spend time with them like we wanted.

Please pray for Annie to get well soon!

Aunt K and the cousins and I went to the zoo...We were sad to not have our friends with us. But we know they will be coming to visit us soon when Isabella Faye gets home!

Here's some pics of the day!

Holy Macaroni and a little Taco Bell!

Today Aunt K and the cousins and I went to the aquarium. Upon seeing a shark Football exclaimed: Holy Macaroni!!!!

This set the tone for our wonderful day!

I fell in love with the otters but Aunt K wouldn't let me bring one home so I had to settle for a stuffed one...for sweet girl, of course!!

Sweet girl took a trip today to Taco Bell with Nana and Aunt Cony! Hilarious! Daddy loves Taco Bell too, so I expect they will be taking lots of Daddy/daughter trips there!

My new blog header!

Notice the new blog header? Sweet Amy surprised me with this! She wrote the poem herself! She has been my prayer partner throughout this adoption. We have rejoiced with each other, cried with each other, laughed and laughed, sung to each other, told the other one's crazy and certianly prayed with and for each other!
She has her precious Samantha home, she came home in January. She waits still for Geovany, who lives in an orphanage in Guatemala. His case has been in PGN for 11+ weeks now. Please pray for approval so he can quickly come home.

Isabella Faye Embry

We have our Birth Certificate!!!! Isabella Faye's birth name is Silvia Maria.

There is now a beautiful legally forever binding document that says what our hearts have known all along: Silvia Maria Embry is the daughter of John and Beth Embry!

Our sweet Isabella Faye (Silvia Maria) will be home in 3-4 weeks.

As I type these words, all I can think of is the song Jesus Paid It All that was redone by Kristian Stanfill.

It has the original hymn:

I hear the Savior say
The strength indeed is small
child of weakness watch and pray
find in me thine all in all

Jesus paid it all
All to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow

and then he an added this tag:

Oh praise the One who bore my sin
and raised this life up from the dead!
Oh praise the One who bore my sin
and raised this life up from the dead!

The reason for everything, for all we ever celebrate is becuase Jesus paid it all and all to Him we do owe.

Jesus, all the glory and honor and praise for Isabella's homecoming goes to YOU! We are praising you all across this United States and in Guatemala for answering this prayer!

Please friends, pray for Isabella Faye's foster family and friends in these next days, as they prepare to say goodbye. These is no way for me to descride the love they have our Isabella. Pray for thier peace and strength and praise God for thier unconditional love and care of our sweet girl!

A fun day for sweet girl!

Isabella Faye had a wonderful Sunday! She visited her foster grandma and aunts, uncles and cousins, then tonight a friend came over to play.

JL222222

I had the complete pleasure of chatting with Nana Janeth on Friday night, via Instant Messenger. Oh, I think IM is a gift from God. It was so nice to be able to talk live with Nana and occasionally Isabella Faye!

I learned many things about my sweet girl. I thought I'd share a few!

1. She loves bananas and eats 2-3 A DAY! John eats one to two a day, which means I'm gonna be buying a minimum of 21 to possibly 35 bananas a week! Well, they're cheap and healthy so I can't complain!

2. Speaking of eating, she eats everything! Like Mommy, she loves chicken, and she loves eggs. That's great considering Daddy and Papaw run a small chicken farm. Okay, that made me giggle, chicken farm? Maybe chicken operation? The point it the eggs are plentiful and yummy!

3. She says mama, papa, gracias and te amo. Those last two are thank you and I love you. Could there be any 4 words any better to say at 13 months old!?!? When I was visiting in August I would always say "I love you, te amo" and my friend Amy C. teased me about my accent and trying to speak Spanish! ;- ) There will definitely have to be some phone calls back to Nana so she can hear the Spanish language the way its suppose to sound!

4. She "typed" to me jl222222 which, of coarse, made me cry! I kept the entire IM conversation and I'm gonna put her typing in the baby book! Yes, I am that mother! I told Nana jl222222 meant I love you Mommy and she agreed! :- ) Nana would tell me every time Isabella Faye was at the computer and I would type messages to her. Now, I know she couldn't understand them but it made me feel empowered! It was so nice to be actually "talking" to her.

I just feel totally overwhelmed and blessed to have been able to chat with Nana and I hope to do so again soon. It will also be wonderful when IF is home so we can keep Nana and the family up do date on IF. I will always love this family and they will forever be a part of our lives.
