My friend Kim

Yesterday, my dear friend Kim passed away. She was one of our biggest supporters in the adoption of Isabella Faye. She loved our daughter so much! It breaks my heart that she never got to meet her.

Please pray for Kim's family-Steve, Kaylee and Brittany.

FFF-Eyes

Today's Favorite foto Fridays theme is eyes. Boy is that an easy one for me! Isabella Faye has the most amazing eyes and the longest lashes of anyone I have ever known. Oh how I love this girl!

FFF-Easter Memories-New Pics of Isabella Faye

We received these pictures from Isabella Faye's wonderful Foster Mom today. They were taken yesterday at the lake. With the pictures of Isabella Faye was a precious message that put me at ease and filled my heart with joy. From mommy to mommy, it was just what I needed to hear. So, even though Isabella Faye isn't home this Easter, I will look back with fond memories at her Easter spent at the lake and my Easter, knowing how much she is loved and how blessed we are!

Happy, Happy Easter!

Assurance

Our agency director posted these verses on our forum. Wow...how powerful! I pray God will use them in your life-whatever you are going through, as he did me! Oh the assurance it brought me!

I will climb up into my watchtower now and wait to see what the Lord will say to me and how He will answer my complaint. Then the Lord said to me, "Write my answer in large, clear letters on a tablet, so that a runner can read it and tell everyone else. But these things I plan won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed. Habakkuk 2:(NLT)

Thankful

Isabella Faye turned 7 months old on Friday. It was hard becuase we thought she'd be home by now. But, we are so thankful for her 7 months of life...thankful God allowed us to be her parents...thankful she is safe and loved in her foster parent's home...thankful her birth mother so unselfishly gave her daughter up...thankful for our charming, beautiful, funny little girl.

We haven't seen pictures of her since she turned 6 months so we are praying her wonderful foster mom will send some soon! Oh how we love her and pray she'll be home soon!

Tomorrow begins the Holy Week shutdown in Guat. so if we don't get out of PGN approved today, it won't be until next week. I'm so hopeful and praying for "THE CALL" today! What a wonderful Easter that would be-knowing Isabella Faye would be home soon! But, we will praise our great God either way! Becuase we know He loves us and wants what's best and Isabella Faye will be home!

Have a great night!

Favorite Foto Friday-Spring Fever!

Okay, so I've been sick all week and missed Favorite Foto Friday. So, I'm making up for it on Sunday! The theme this week is Spring Fever! I chose this picture, which is from Isabella Faye's foster Mommy to us the day Isabella Faye turned 6 months (also Valentine's Day. I love those little fat arms in that short sleeved shirt and when I look at that pic I imagine Isabella Faye happily playing in her foster parent's home with a the windows open and a breeze blowing through. Guatemala has amazing spring-like weather! This pic reminds me of when I was there visiting and it was breezy just like spring...and then I came back here to winter! : )Favr

FFF-One Year Ago Today!

Okay...so last Saturday I decided to join my friends in Favorite Foto Fridays. There is a theme and everyone posts a picture related to the theme. I haven't figured out who the person is who chooses the theme...! But, I was aggrevated becuase I missed last Friday and decided that this Friday I was going to start. But...this Friday's theme is one year ago today. That's a tough one to start with becuase sweet Isabella Faye wasn't born! But, she was in our hearts already, as we worked on our adoption paperwork-praying for the little girl that God had for us. So, I present to you...one year ago today, when Guatemala was in our hearts...because God knew that a little girl would be born there, that would be our child!

For my prayer warrior Annie: Isabella Faye and Alex

Okay...My sweet little friend Annie-Betsy's daughter Annie...has been praying for our Isabella Faye and her brother Alex to come home. Oh the faith of a child! But, sweet Annie called me today to ask where the picture of her brother Alex is on my blog. So, in honor of Annie and her sweet prayers for Isabella Faye and Alex...here is a picture of our sweet kiddos!

Daddy's girl!

So, I've been noticing that there is one important person that I haven't mentioned in Isabella Faye's blog and that's Daddy! So, this post is dedicated to my wonderful husband John.

Daddy's Girl...already!?!?

The first week of July I went to Guatemala to visit Isabella Faye. Well, each day while I was gone when John would call I would put the phone up to Isabella Faye's ear so Daddy could talk to her. By the end of the visit my 5 1/2 month old daughter was holding the phone herself! Granted, its a little-easy to hold cell phone...but still! She would just smile when he talked to her! It was in those moments that I realized we have on our hands a daddy's girl and I am chopped liver! : )

Friday: a big day...we hope!

Last Friday was a busy one for PGN outs. 3 families from our agency received good news as well as many, many more on the other forums I follow. We really thought this was the beginning of something big! But, this week has been sadly quiet. It does seem that Friday is a busier day in the way of PGN outs so we are hoping and praying to get "The Call" tomorrow. Outs seemed to have been coming much more quickly since the submits following our registration with the Central Authority...even coming in 2 weeks...but now I worry and wonder. I shouldn't worry! I know that God is in control! He loves my sweet girl more than I do! But I miss her so much! My heart is so heavy and I have butterflies in my stomach all the time. I'm just so tired from the long process.

Please join me in prayer that Isabella Faye will be approved out of PGN tomorrow.

Our Weekend Prayer Party!

Susannah sent me some pics of our trip. As I think I mentioned yesterday, my camera didn't get the best shots. This picture says it all! We prayed and prayed for each other and all of our CCI family as well as the children who are being thrown away due to the closing of Guatemala.

For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them. Matthew 18:20 NIV

My Weekend Prayer Party!

Okay, here is the long awaited post on my weekend with 4 other ladies adopting from our agency, Celebrate Children International. Normally I'm right on top of the blog but Sunday is my crazy busy day and yesterday was crazy too! Lucky for you, Tuesday is my day off and I am currently ignoring chores to update my blog!

This past Friday, I welcomed friends Susannah and Lisa into my home for the night. Susannah is such an incredible Christian. And Lisa has faced some recent tragedy, finding out that her adoption of KelliAnna Marie would not go through. Lisa has been so brave and strong. She is an inspiration! These women make me want to be a better person! After eating mexican and staying up way too late talking and praying, we went to bed and got up early the next morning to to head to Lexington to meet friends Betsy, Stacy and Kathy. We hadn't thought to get Kathy's cell phone number so we missed her : (. But we are going to make sure to include her next time!

I had traveled to Guatemala to visit Isabella Faye at the same time that Stacy and Betsy had gone to see thier children. Let me tell you, meeting our children together, giving them back, together...we bonded on a deep level. Seeing those girls was overwhelming! I had missed them so much! We were sad that our other travel buddy Lori couldn't be there but she lives in Florida!

We had such an awesome time! We laughed and laughed and prayed and cried and at the end of it all, for the first time in weeks, my stomach didn't hurt. My heart didn't race. Oh what sweet peace the Lord gave us that special day! Even now as I wait to hear we are out of PGN, I have peace and hope!

God gave me complete peace in Guatemala on my visit, that Isabella Faye is coming home. But, in my humaness, sometimes I still worry! God used this day to remind me of his promise of peace! Thank you Lord for giving me this ladies who I love so much!

I can't seem to load pictures right now but I'll post them soon!
