Praise the Lord, after being kicked out of PGN (the Guatemalan agency that approves adoptions) for a mistake on the birth mother's birth certificate, we are back in and hoping for a short stay!
It was hard for us to understand why another delay. But, dear friend Darla pointed out that God sees the big picture. We have begun to trust that He indeed does indeed see the big picture and He knows when Isabella Faye needs to come home. We must give this adoption fully over to God once and for all-and stop taking it back and trying to control it ourselves!
Please join us in praying for God's will to be done in this adoption and for us to have complete peace in whatever that is! Please pray for Isabella Faye's health and well-being and for our emotional and mental fortitude as we wait!
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jerimiah 29:11

A very happy Mother's Day!
My dear friend Betsy and I will be heading to Guatemala in early May to spend Mother's Day with our kiddos. Her Alex is out of PGN and will be coming home soon so I am feeling so blessed that she is willing to accompany me anyway. I am so thankful to see Isabella Faye again and to be with her on my FIRST Mother's Day! I've already started packing and we don't leave for 15 more days! My trip has been completly paid for by some dear friends. I wish there were words to adequetly thank them for giving out family this gift. Isabella Faye...here I come!

Guatemala or bust take 2!
Thanks to a donation from a wonderful couple who we love so much, I will be taking a second visit trip to Guatemala. I'll share more details soon, but I want to talk to my boss first about the time off!
We are so grateful to this family. Their generosity is so amazing! I can't wait to see my precious girl again!
More details to come...

Yucky News
Well..we found out this week that our case has had a previo (a paperwork mistake) and has been "kicked out" of PGN. This will be fixed and we will go back into PGN but its a delay. We are devistated and greiving but we understand that God sees the bigger picture. God knows that there is some big, important reason why Isabella Faye can't come home yet. And, we are thankful we can trust Him to bring her home at the perfect time. Even with this understanding, its still hard! Please pray for us as we wait.
Love,
Beth and John

FFF-Siblings

This week's Favorite Foto Friday theme is siblings. So, I have included pics of Isabella Faye's furry sisters...Aberdeen (our youngest) Amethyst (our oldest) and Adair (she's between Amethyst and Isabella Faye in age). We can't wait for Isabella Faye to get home! Aberdeen will be her playmate, Adair will mother her and Amethyst will ignore her!

Raelyn

This is Isabella Faye's friend Raelyn. Her Mommy and Daddy are Stacy and Mark. They live in the same state as us,only a few hours away. We visited our daughters at the same time and bonded instantly. I love this family and sweet Raelyn. She is coming home to two very excited big brothers. We have the same facilitator and attorney and were resubmitted to PGN on the same day. So, we are hoping to get out at the same time and travel together again!

My friend Kim
Yesterday, my dear friend Kim passed away. She was one of our biggest supporters in the adoption of Isabella Faye. She loved our daughter so much! It breaks my heart that she never got to meet her.
Please pray for Kim's family-Steve, Kaylee and Brittany.

FFF-Easter Memories-New Pics of Isabella Faye
We received these pictures from Isabella Faye's wonderful Foster Mom today. They were taken yesterday at the lake. With the pictures of Isabella Faye was a precious message that put me at ease and filled my heart with joy. From mommy to mommy, it was just what I needed to hear. So, even though Isabella Faye isn't home this Easter, I will look back with fond memories at her Easter spent at the lake and my Easter, knowing how much she is loved and how blessed we are!
Happy, Happy Easter!

Assurance
Our agency director posted these verses on our forum. Wow...how powerful! I pray God will use them in your life-whatever you are going through, as he did me! Oh the assurance it brought me!
I will climb up into my watchtower now and wait to see what the Lord will say to me and how He will answer my complaint. Then the Lord said to me, "Write my answer in large, clear letters on a tablet, so that a runner can read it and tell everyone else. But these things I plan won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed. Habakkuk 2:(NLT)

Thankful
Isabella Faye turned 7 months old on Friday. It was hard becuase we thought she'd be home by now. But, we are so thankful for her 7 months of life...thankful God allowed us to be her parents...thankful she is safe and loved in her foster parent's home...thankful her birth mother so unselfishly gave her daughter up...thankful for our charming, beautiful, funny little girl.
We haven't seen pictures of her since she turned 6 months so we are praying her wonderful foster mom will send some soon! Oh how we love her and pray she'll be home soon!
Tomorrow begins the Holy Week shutdown in Guat. so if we don't get out of PGN approved today, it won't be until next week. I'm so hopeful and praying for "THE CALL" today! What a wonderful Easter that would be-knowing Isabella Faye would be home soon! But, we will praise our great God either way! Becuase we know He loves us and wants what's best and Isabella Faye will be home!
Have a great night!

Favorite Foto Friday-Spring Fever!

Okay, so I've been sick all week and missed Favorite Foto Friday. So, I'm making up for it on Sunday! The theme this week is Spring Fever! I chose this picture, which is from Isabella Faye's foster Mommy to us the day Isabella Faye turned 6 months (also Valentine's Day. I love those little fat arms in that short sleeved shirt and when I look at that pic I imagine Isabella Faye happily playing in her foster parent's home with a the windows open and a breeze blowing through. Guatemala has amazing spring-like weather! This pic reminds me of when I was there visiting and it was breezy just like spring...and then I came back here to winter! : )Favr
