Car Seat Safety Day

Saturday IF and I attended a car seat safety check sponsored by our local sheriff's department and some other local organizations. IF left with cookies, juice, a sucker, a frizbee, a sticker, coloring sheet and two pink snack bowls! I left with peace of mind that because of those well-trained and conscientious officers, IF is just as safe as humanly possible in the car.

Fireworks Fun!

Tonight at our local minor-league ball park there were fireworks after the game. IF, who since the 4th of July is obsessed with fireworks, was beside herself. She cheered, laughed, yelled, jumped up and down, covered her head and hollered ouch and many, many, times WHOA!

After the wedding

Thank Goodness for Jaz

Saturday was the wedding of our nephew. We arrived early for family pictures. Wonderful cousin Jaz was on the job, playing with and entertaining IF while we waited. The two play so well together. Jaz is a natural with IF...and was more than willing to share her DS!

Daddy coaches our local high school softball team. He hopes IF will love softball as much as he does and from the looks of their playtime last night, it seems she's off to a good start!

Cousin Caidon's Babysitting service!

Cousin Caidon, Bubby, as IF calls him, spent the day with us. He helped out with IF and I got a ton of work done around the house!

IF's new friend

Our local grocery store used this cow to promote a sale on meat. Each time we passed the massive cow, IF would squeal with delight, reach out grasping with both hands and shout peez (please) Mama until I drove her up to the cow, rolled down her window and let her talk to it!

Happy Birthday Sophia Hope!

We recently attended the 2nd birthday party of sweet Sophia Hope. She arrived home from Guatemala at the first of the year. She is totally precious! Unfortunately, the two girls moved too fast for me to get a picture of them both looking at the camera!

1st Place

Sweet girl took 1st place in her age division at our local summer festival tonight! I am so proud! I have much to say and many more pics (thanks to Aunt K) but I'm tired...did I mention we also went to the zoo today?!?! So, more pics tomorrow of our zoo trip and the pageant...and many thoughts from a blessed momma!
