Splish Splash!

My precious baby received a pool from her Aunt Di two weeks ago. Unfortunatly, the weather, and her allergies wouldn't cooperate and she wasn't able to get in until Sunday afternoon. Needless to say, after several days of playing in her dry pool-inside, she was more than ready to splash!

FFF

This week's Favorite Foto Friday theme is "memories" but I'm cheating!

Instead of posting for myself, I want to take this opportunity to ask that you pray for my friends and their children who are still in process.

Julia

All these children remain in Guatemala, waiting for their adoptions to be completed. These cases have all taken well over a year, some have taken many years and still aren't finished.

We waited 15 months and I thought the wait would kill me. I can't imagine how these families are suffering. Please make it a priority to pray for them.

The doctor is in!

Thankful

Over six months now my precious Isabella Faye has been home. Yet still, everyday I think of her while I work. Most mornings I cry at having to leave her. I rush home from work each afternoon, my heart racing and butterflies in my stomach. I can't wait to see her, to hold her, to play with her! Weekends are the best! I love being with her.

Daily, at least once I find myself staring at her, my hand to my heart, overwhelmed that she is mine and Gods.
Never does a day pass that John and I don't share a knowing glance, thinking of all the nights we sat alone, wondering what life would hold when IF was home.
Every day I laugh out loud before the Lord, immeasurably grateful for my precious girl.
Each night, I kiss her soft forehead before I lay her in her crib and whisper thanks to my Heavenly Father, who trusts me, adores me, has gifted me with his masterpiece, Isabella Faye.

How can I keep from singing Your praise
How can I ever say enough
How amazing is Your love
How can I keep from shouting Your name
I know I am loved by the King
And it makes my heart want to sing

Splish Splash!

Sometimes you've just gotta pick your battles...

On Sunday afternoon when IF discovered a puddle of water, I just let her splash!

What I remember most about my childhood are moments like that.

What made my mother my hero were moments like that!

Oh how I love that precious girl who, after her splash-fest, wrapped her arms around my legs, kissed my knee and grinned up at me in sweet gratitude!

One of the team!

IF loves to attend the softball games that her Daddy coaches. From the concessions to running the bases to being the center of the girls' attention...she claps and cheers every time we pull into the park!

Playdate

Last Saturday If had a wonderful play-date! I babysat these three amazing kids from the time they were 4 months, 1 year and 3 until IF came home back in November. I love these kids and miss them terribly. It was great to see them playing with IF.
She loved playing with them!

FFF-Bloopers

Our photo bloopers tend to almost always be the same! IF turns at the precise moment I or Aunt K or Daddy snap the picture! Sometimes this is an accident....Sometimes, my 21 month old with an already well-developed sense of humor, grins mischievously, turns around and shouts "cheese" while I snap a picture of her rump!

FFF-Mommy

In honor of Mother's Day coming up this weekend, the Favorite Foto Friday theme is Mommy! Last Mother's Day was my first as a mommy and one of the very best days of my life.

I'm reposting the slide show I made last year, upon returning from my Mother's Day visit with IF. Seeing how I was suffering, dear friend Scott sent his wife Betsy and me to Gautemala for Mother's Day. Alex' case was already outof PGN and they were awaiting final steps for him to come home. Yet, knowing they would be traveling right back down, Scott selflessly sent us anyway and we spent some of the very best days of my life, with our children in that beautiful country.

I will never be able to repay him for that kindness.

Enjoy this walk down memory lane from last year...my 1st Mother's Day!

FFF-Run!

This week's Favorite Foto Friday theme is run. Running is one of IF's passions in life!

...God has a sense of humor!

Before IF...I never rarely ran.

I always loved that tortiouse...slow and steady wins the race! Stupid show-off hare!

But now...I chase and am chased and wrestle and jump and dance everyday! And I love every minute of it!
